Privacy
This page explains what happens to your information when you read this site or subscribe. Worth It is run by Ahad, an individual based in the Netherlands. Contact: hello@worthitletters.com.
If you only read the site
The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which, like any web host, processes technical data such as your IP address in order to deliver pages and protect against abuse.
If you subscribe
- What is collected: your email address, and the date and source of your sign-up.
- Why: to send you the newsletter you asked for. The legal basis is your consent, which you give by subscribing and confirming.
- Confirmation: you receive one email asking you to confirm. If you do not confirm, you are not added to the list.
- Who processes it: the newsletter is sent through Kit (kit.com), an email service based in the United States, so your address is stored on Kit's systems. Kit's own privacy policy describes how it handles data.
- Opens and clicks: Kit records whether an email was opened and which links were clicked. This is used only to learn which topics are useful.
- Sharing: your address is never sold, rented or given to sponsors.
Leaving
Every email has an unsubscribe link that works with one click. You can also write to hello@worthitletters.com and ask to be removed and to have your data deleted.
Your rights
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation you can ask to see the data held about you, have it corrected or deleted, and withdraw your consent at any time. Write to hello@worthitletters.com. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority; in the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and subscribers are told in the next issue.
